Minister's Message

Our government is committed to protecting Manitobans and the Emergency Management Organization was developed to do just that. From preparedness and response through to recovery and mitigation, the role of Emergency Management Organization is to support Manitoba government departments and local authorities as they respond to large-scale emergencies and disasters impacting their areas and regions.

Our team is dedicated to working with all our emergency management partners to coordinate, collaborate and communicate effectively in supporting the roll out of programs and services to assist Manitobans during times of crisis.

The Manitoba Emergency Management Organization's key areas include supporting the responses to all natural hazards ranging from floods, heavy rains, severe weather events to wildfires, administrating Disaster Financial Assistance, initiating Requests for Assistance from federal and other partners, and issuing Emergency Alerts.

Through the expertise of the Emergency Management Organization, we are continuously building towards making our province more resilient.
