The Archives Research Room is open from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00-4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. We are closed for statutory holidays and for an inventory week each September. See specific closure dates.


Saturdays @ the Archives

The Archives of Manitoba Research Room will be open the first Saturday of the month from April to June and October to December 2024. We’ll be open from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on April 6, May 4, June 1, October 5, November 2 and December 7. Location

The Archives of Manitoba is located at 200 Vaughan Street in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba. Enter the building at the Vaughan Street entrance, on the northeast corner of the building, at St. Mary Avenue. Metered street parking and parking lots can be found nearby. Many downtown bus routes run near the Archives, particularly routes down Vaughan Street, Graham Avenue and Portage Avenue.

Accessibility

The Manitoba Archives Building is wheelchair accessible. There is a ramp near our entrance. There are accessible, gender-neutral washrooms in the foyer. Other areas of the Archives building, e.g. meeting rooms, are accessible by elevator. If you require accommodations to access the Archives or services at the Archives, please contact us.
