July 12, 2019 : The July 12 Livestock Market Report (PDF 482 KB)  and the July 12 Grains Market Report (PDF 231 KB) are now available.

July 5, 2019 : The July 5 Livestock Market Report (PDF 543 KB)  and the July 5 Grains Market Report (PDF 231 KB) are now available.

July 4, 2019 : The US Cattle on Feed report is now available. There is a 2% increase over 2018.

July 3, 2019 : The 2018 Farm Income and Farm Cash Receipt data for Manitoba is now available under the Financial page.

July 2, 2019 : June Cattle Feeders Sold Through Manitoba Auction Marts (PDF 891 KB) is now available. Sales for June 2019 were up 17% vs June 2018.

What's New


Manitoba Agriculture Statistics Factsheet is now available on our website and also ready to be shared at Manitoba Ag Days 2019.

The Price Discovery Stakeholder Working Group is looking at options to improve the collection and reporting of Fed Cattle market information in Canada.  Please see the Importance of Cattle Price Reporting and plan to participate (read more here).
 
Manitoba Markets Weekly Reports:  These two reports are a weekly summary of the latest commodity prices for Livestock along with Grains and Oilseeds.
 
 
2016 Census of Agriculture Manitoba Profile has been released. The number of Manitoba farms has been declining, while the farm size, herd sizes and gross farm cash receipts have been increasing. Manitoba has the second youngest population of farm operators in Canada.
 
The Price Improvement Program is currently in place to improve quality and quantity of livestock marketing information. Program information and Livestock Prices Collection Templates can be found under Livestock Statistics. Market Intelligence encourages both buyers and sellers to contribute by reporting sales information.

The video Canadian Agriculture Statistics is now available and can be viewed through the Statistics Canada website.  Statistics Canada provides agriculture information that ranges from farm to the grocery aisle.  View their latest video and learn more about Canadian agriculture.  Manitoba Agriculture uses this information to publish agriculture statistics specific to Manitoba.  You can find Manitoba market and statistics information at our website.
