Today's young farmers are tomorrow's farm business leaders. Developing the next generation of farmers is essential to the profitability and sustainability of agriculture. There are a wide range of specialized tools and resources available to young farmers 18 to 39 years of age.
Training and skill development
- Growing Competitiveness - Next Generation provides young farmers with assistance to help develop their individual skills and access targeted services from professional consultants.
- Young Farmer Crop Plan Credit (MASC) assists young and beginning farmers with the costs of AgriInsurance, while ensuring their crop production decisions are made based on sound research, analysis and their own cost of production.

- Canadian Total Excellence in Agricultural Management-CTEAM (Agri-Food Management Excellence) can help develop and implement your own strategic and operations plans for your farm.
Leadership opportunities
- Young Farmers Conference is a two-day annual conference to bring together young farmers from across the province and learn about various farm management topics. It’s an opportunity to learn, connect with fellow producers and share experiences. The conference is hosted in co-operation with the Keystone Agricultural Producers (KAP).

- Canadian Young Farmers’ Forum (CYFF) leading young agriculture producers across Canada to provide support, encouragement and resources to promote agriculture.
- Cattlemen’s Young Leaders Program provides a combination of formal and informal opportunities to learn from existing beef cattle industry leaders and other youth organizations undertaking mentorship opportunities.
- Global Youth Ag-Summit brings young leaders from around the world together to discuss ideas, develop a vision and deliver action.
